Bali is an island in Indonesia located in between the islands of Java and Lombock, but above all, Bali is a worldwide tourist destination in which year after year tourists flock to. Idyllic beaches are its trademark as well as its culture. This island is mainly Hindu, but there is also a small Muslim population, especially along the coast.

The Island of Bali has a population of 3 million inhabitants. It is located in the Sonda Archipelago just 3kms from the island of Java. Its most important peak is located in Mount Agung and measures 3,142 meters in height. It is a volcano that erupted for the first time in the year 1963.

Singaraja Port, Denpasar, Sinur and Ubud are some of the main cities, each one with its special characteristics. Ubud for example is famous for its art and is considered the cultural capital of Bali. It is the destination of many artists from across the world.

But if there is one fundamental characteristic in Bali, it is without a doubt tourism. This is the main source of income of this beautiful island of Indonesia. Localities such as Kuta, Sanur, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran are the main destination spots for thousands of tourists from Europe, Asia and America each year.

One of the most significant traits of Bali's beaches is the white sands in the south and the black volcanic sands in the north.
